your soul stares blankly back

you are not really here
but you whisper in my ear,
a touch from afar
gone.
a figment of my dreams.

Bald Rock

The river flows, an abundance of damp leaves trickle down illuminating the clear water.
a wheel of color follows each step. nothing is muted. nothing is grey.
today the sky churns blue
today the birds swoop in haste, and the crows come at me willingly,
taunting me.
I fight back. crunch the earth, quicken my step,
hold my breath
and hide behind the sullen rain-drenched beech.
Where the transparent leaves trace a skeleton of summer.
fall has come.

after the full moon

We all come down a bit from the wake of the full moon. It pulls us, it pushes us, and it intriques us. What is it about the moon that we feel so much more connected to our body, to our soul, and to the watery earth?

I made moon tea on this past full moon. drinking a lunar tea evokes a tranquil spirit, and for me, since it was my birthday, and a partial lunar eclipse, I made an extra strong batch...

to make:

crystal bowl or glass of some sort
peppermint tea works best as it is soothing and a digestive- you can use fresh leaves or dried, depending on the seasons, and availability.
hot water.

pour the water in the bowl with loose or bagged tea, cover it with a lid- not plastic!

let it soak in the essence of the moon for a few hours or all night.

drink it, think, write, relax, and breathe.
cheers.
